Q. Why can't I log in to a library database?

1. First, you'll need to be enrolled at Sierra College for the current semester.
2. Make sure you are using links from the library's home page.
3. Your login is the same as you use for MySierra, Canvas, etc.

Additional Troubleshooting Tips

• Try a variety of web browsers (Safari, Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
• Clear your cache and browser history as old error messages may be saved. Restart your browser.
• If you have passwords saved, be sure the saved password is up to date.
• Try resetting your password. Instructions for resetting your MySierra password.
• Browser plugins may interfere with database logins.

Insecure Content Tips

Occasionally when accessing databases you get messages about insecure content. Google Chrome verifies that the website content you view is transmitted securely. If you visit a page that is linked to insecure content, Chrome will display a shield icon in the browser address bar.

You can choose to override the security restriction and display the content anyway by clicking the shield icon and then clicking the Load unsafe script button.

Firefox verifies that the website content you view is transmitted securely. If you visit a page that is linked to insecure content, Firefox will display a lock with a warning icon in the browser address bar.

You can choose to override the security restriction and display the content anyway by clicking the lock with a warning icon, clicking the arrow to expand your options, and selecting the Disable protection for now button.
