Q. Are you getting rid of all the books?

Answer

No, we're not getting rid of all the books! Libraries periodically go through a process called weeding where unused, outdated or deteriorating books are removed from the collection to make room for new books. While we've done minor weeding over the years, a major weeding of the collection at the Rocklin campus library hasn't happened for over 20 years when the old library relocated to the current building.

You may have seen our free book cart in the library lobby with some of these weeded books that we've been unable to sell in the book sale. We also plan to have a big book sale later this spring. Follow our Facebook page for the date and details!
